User Reviews

I did some research on new video cards and didn't want to break the bank so I ordered this one. It was probably 10% faster than my onboard video card. I was going to use it to play mid level games such as the new Transformers: War for Cybertron game and Batman Arkham Asylum. The video etched along ever so slowly and I realized that I wasted my time and money on this card. I wound up getting a much better card Zotac nVidia GForce GT 220 for just 20 dollars more and couldn't be happier. -- Not Even Close
works well used for build that does not do much gaming but may watch a movie on pc -- good card
I watch a lot of movies and TV shows on my computer, many of them in hi-def. My embedded video chip worked fine for a while, but soon began to heat up after half an hour of use. So while this video card actually brought down my Windows Experience Index to 3.8, I can watch hours of HD video without this card heating up to 120 degrees Celsius, unlike my onboard video. (I'm guessing the onboard video had a higher rating because it had access to all of my RAM) Installation was a breeze. I updated the drivers when I first installed it and had no problem. Another excellent fact is that my computer only has a 300 Watt power supply, but this 350 Watt card works fine. The only problem so far with this card is that the fan is loud. My computer was fairly quiet before and now it is a little quieter than my XBox 360 (which is LOUD). -- Decent, affordable card
The 8400 GS was exactly what I needed: a video card w/ plenty of memory at low cost. Install was easy (recommend go to Nvidia website & install newest drivers- always;-)) & it runs quiet. I don't game, but for normal web/dvd video needs this card is great. -- Excellent budget card
This is a less expensive graphics card, but it operates fine for the action games that I have. Games such as "Call of Duty - World at War." -- GeForce Graphics Card 8400 GS
